Meet Marie A Trottier, OD
Dr. Marie Andrée Trottier, OD is a board-certified optometrist providing comprehensive eye care to patients in Newport, Vermont and the Northeast Kingdom. Originally from a snowy rural region of Northern Quebec, she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Université de Montréal in 2006.
She completed her externship at the Northern Navajo Medical Center in Shiprock, New Mexico, where the career and dedication of her mentor, Dr. Hughes, inpired her to follow in his footsteps.
Dr. Trottier is certified by both the U.S. National Board of Examiners in Optometry and the Canadian Examiners in Optometry. In addition to English, she speaks French, her native language, as well as Spanish.
Our Care Philosophy
Dr. Trottier truly cares about people and loves to help. She volunteered in humanitarian missions in Peru and in Romania providing free eye care for those in need.
In recent years, Dr. Trottier has lived in Arizona, where she met her husband and proudly served the Salt River Indian Community as Director of the Eye Clinic.
Serving the Newport, Vermont Community
Now happily settled in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, Marie Andrée and her family are grateful to call Vermont home, embracing the region’s endless opportunities for outdoor adventure.
